ENGLISH AND FOREIGN. London, Sept. 26. Sullivan, who recently defeated Bubear for the championship of England, states that he is prepared to row Stansbury, the champion of the world, in England. Bishop Webber, of Queensland, has arrived in London. The chief object of his visit to England is to fill up recent gaps made in his clergy list. Glasson has been undoubtedly identified as the man who committed the crime. The police think that there was no second man engaged in the affair. The bodies of Mr Phillips and Miss Cavanagh were removed to Sydney and buried yesterday. Captain Humphreys, the lion tamer in Fitzgerald’s circus, was terribly injured by the animals at Aibury. Detective Gabriel, who was responsible for the arrest of the Mount Morgan thieves, has received several letters threatening him with death. One of the principal witnesses has received a similar letter. The tenth arrest in connection with the robbery at Mount Morgan mines was effected to-day.
