Cycling. —At a meeting of the New Zealand Cyclists’ Alliance, W. J. S Hayward (Christ-hnrch), A. C. W lu ot (North Canterbury), E Reynolds (Auckland), an C. Hall (Timaru), were selected as the New Zealand team to compete in the Australian championship at Sydney in Sep ember. The Auckland Amateur Athletic Club have subscribed £lO, the Pioneer Bicycle Club and Timaru Tourists’ Bicycling Club £5, the Ashburton Cycling Club £3, and the Alliance £25, towards the expenses of the team to Sydney. Other smaller amounts are promised.
