ROUNDERS.

On Saturday last a rounder match took place in Victoria Park, Temuka, between the Timaru Main School, and the Temuia High School girls. The visitors arrived by the 12.30 train, and were entertained at luncheon in the school room. The park was then occupied, and play commenced at half-past one. The result was a win for Temuka by two points. Both sides played well. The fielding of the Temuka girls was splendid, while that of Timaru was not so good. After the game was over the visitors were again entertained with luncheon, and returned home by the six o'clock train. The Temuka girls desire to thank the Misses Phillips, Brown, Bruce, and Mrs Ardell very much for their kind assistance.
