Profcssor Moulton’s variety ontornment in the Volunteer Hall, T muka, last evening, was well attended and proved most laughter-provoking. Tne chief novelty was Mr F. Tho eas’s whistling ventriloquism. He can whistle with a handkerchief over his mouth, or while smoking a cigar; in fact, perform extraordinary feats of whi-tling. He can also tell a good story and sing a good song, and is altogether a very funny < omedian. Mr Barton is also a ventriloquist of great abiliy, into wiiich he introduces the novelty of the Swiss jodelling. A funny entertainment wound up with a funny competition between bo’s of the audience, which created roars of laughter.
