WOODBURY SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the above was held on February 25th. Present— Messrs H. F. Brown (chairman), F, R. Flatman, A. G. Hammond, J. Fiefield, and L. Gick. CORRESPONDENCE. correspondence was read— From the Board of Education, re vacancies on the board.—lt was resolved to vote for Messrs Wm. Storey and G. H. Graham, and the Rev. J. White. From the same, onclosiug attendance returns for quarter ending December 31, 1892 ; also intimating that the sum of £5, due for incidentals, had been paid to the committee's account. INSPECTOR'S REPORT.
The inspector's report on the examination of the school was as follows : Standard Vll.—Presented 3. Standard Vl.—Presented 8, absent 1, excepted 1, failed 0, passed G. Standard V. -Presented 0, failed 2, passed 7. Standard IV.- -Presented 15, absent 1, excepted 1, failed 5, passed 8. Standard lll.—Presented 15, failed 2, passed 13. Standard 11. Presented 12, failed 1, passed 11. Standard I.—Presented 1», excepted 1, failed 6, passed 0,. P.—Presented 33, Totals—Presented 100, absent 2, excepted 3, failed 10, passed 51. Percentnge of passes 48, percentage of failures 23 3 porcentage on class subjects 71, additional marks 72. Standard VII. The .school h;v.i pussud a very good examination. The order, attention, and manners are very good.

The head master's report showed that the attendance during the > month had been : Boys 42, girls 34, total 70 ; highest attendance 80. During the period referred to two children had been withdrawn and three admitted, making the roll number UK). The master roquestod to be supplied with two doaeu chitr-<- inkwell;!, and called .•iite.ii (ion to the uprooted trees on the grounds. On the motion of the chairman, it was decided to get all the uprooted trees cut up for firewood for the use of the school, ft was also decided to ask the board of Education, to forward the i ikwells staked i'of by the i.uaf;tvr.
TENDERS, Tenders were received for supplying six cords of mixed firewood cut in 2fr.. length-as follow : —J. Fiefield, lis per eord (accepted); A. Cormack, 12s per cord. VOTE OF CONDOLENCE. The chairman proposed that a vote of sympathy be accorded to Mr Greaves in his late bereavement, and that the same be entered in minute book. The motion was seconded by Mr Flatman, and carried unanimously. VISITORS. Mr Hammond wrs appointed visitor for the ensuing month, and the meeting terminated.
