Dunedin, Dec. 22

At a meeting of the Dock Trust to-day tenders were opened for reclamation work on the co-operative principle. Some of the tenders were informal, but it was tacitly agreed to waive that point. For filling in, the tender accepted was not the lowest, but was given to a local man who tendered at the engineer’s estimate. The carting work was given to two local men who tendered at 8d per yard, though a South Dunedin man tendered at 7£d.
