Or costivoness, is one of the most frequent result- of liver complaint, and requires prompt oid u . refill attention, for if the ifecal* matter becomes impacted in the bowels dangerous effects are to be apprehended. The justly celebrated Dr Abernethy said that inattention to the action of the stomach a id bowels was the cause of ninety per cent, of our physical ailments, and modern science had proved this assertion correct. Caro, however, requires to bo observed in the choice of remedies, for there are numerous drastic and violent cathartics sold under various fancy names, but Dr Fletcher’s Pills are used with the best advantage in such cases. These Pills are from the prescription of Dr 801 l Fletcher, of ffanuugharo, England, uud were used by
him in his private and General Hospital practice there many years with the greatest success. This, as a matter of course, proves their reliability, and Mr A. M. Beauchamp, Rata, Rangitikei, N.Z., says :—“ I wish to inform you of the good Fletcher’s Pills are doing here. Everbody uses them, and speaks well of thorn, and so do I, for they are the best I ever used in my life.” They can bo obtained from all medicine vendors, or direct from F. M. Clements, Newtown, Sydney, for thirteen penny stamps.
