Infanticide.—At the adjourned inquest at Christchurch on the body of the infant found in the Heathcote on September 4th, the jury returned a verdict that there was no evidence as to the cause of death, and -expressed the opinion that there was not conclusive evidence that the girl in custody was the mother of the child,
