CHOLERA
London, Sept. 12. A seamen who came from Hamburg has died from cholera in Grimsby. Paris, Sept. 10.
Cholera is increasing in Paris. An attempt has been made to treat patients by withdrawing the decomposed blood and injecting fresh, but the experiment was unsuccessful.
Berlin, Sept. 12. There is a marked decrease in cholera in Hamburg. Two hundred and sixty deaths occurred in Hamburg on Saturday, and 280 yesterday. The epidemic is slowly decreasing on the Continent generally. Bremen is now free from cholera. St. Petersburg, Sept. 10. Cholera is being completely stamped out of Baku. New Y6rk, Sept. 11. Four more deaths have occurred on the steamer Scania, and there are several cases on the Guion liner Wyoming. Sept. 12. Two more deaths from cholera have occurred on board the Scandia. A vessel which has srrived at San Francisco, port of origin not stated, reports two deaths from cholera on the voyage. One hundred armed citizens prevented the landing of the Normania's cabin passengers on Fire Island, which has been purchased by the Government as a quarantine station. Pickets were stationed by the residents and signals arranged to notify any attempt to land. Had the authorities insisted on landing the hotel would have been fired, as wood had been piled against it ready for the match.
