London, Aug 17; To-day’s cable re the Cabinet is confirmed, with the following additions : Lord Kimberley will be Secretary of State for the Indian Department and Lord President of the Council; Sir George O. Trevelyan, Secretary for Scotland; Mr Arnold Morley Postmaster-General; Mr C. T. Dyke Acland, Vice President of the Education Department; Lord Houghton, Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland. The latter will not have a seat in the Cabinet, and it is officially announced that the Marquis of Ripen has accepted a porfolio as Secretary of State for the Colonies. Professor Bryce will be Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, with a seat in the Cabinet. Sir Edward Grey is Foreign Under-Secretary. Mr J. T. Hibbert, Financial Secretary to the Treasury; Mr W. Summer, Under Secretary for the Colonies; Mr Shaw Lefevere, Commissioner of Public Works and Buildiugs and Minister of Agriculture with a seat in the Cabinet; Mr McDennot, Q. 0., Attorney-General for Ireland ; Mr Hemp hill, Solicitor-General for Ireland j Bai-i Compton, Controller of the Household; Mr J. R, Roby, Solicitor-General ; Mr Herbert Gladstone, Financial Secretary for War ; Sir Edward Reid, Secretary to the Admiralty. Messrs Walker, Balfour, aud Asher take the positions already given.
Mr Gladstone lias submitted tho names of his Government to the Queen, and has dined with Her Majesty at Osborne.
On a nival at Portsmouth Mr Gladstone was accorded an enthusiastic welcome.
Lord Llorvey, who was returned as Conservative member for Bury St. Edmunds at the general election, having resigned, Lord Chelsea will contest the seat,

Mr Labouchcre has given notice to move next session that Egypt be evacuated by Great Britain. All the Ministers except Mr Morluy Avill be returned by their respective constituencies unopposed. Mr Morlcy. will have a bitter fight to retain his seat. Aug. 18. Sir T. J. Kay Shuttleworth takes the position of Secretary to the Admiralty, and Mr G. J. Shaw Lefevre, Commissioner of Works and Public Buildings. Lord Carrington will bo Lord Chamberlain or High Steward, The Irish members avoto surprised that the Lord Lieutenancy fell to Lord Houghton. but his inclusion meets avMi their favour.
