London, Aug 12. A Chinese force is reported to be proceeding towards Pamir. St. Petersburg, Aug. 12. The Novosti says that Russia cannot remain a passive onlooker at the Afghan crisis. Calcutta, Aug. 12. It is reported that another collision has occurrred between the Russians and Afghans, in the Aliehus district of the Pamir Plateau, The Asbeg rising in Maimena has been suppressed by the Ameer’s troops. Fresh outbreaks, however, on the part of the Hazarahs are reported from Lashkurghan and MazarichrefF. The Hazarahs have closed the road between Herat and Cabul. The Russians have expelled Hindoo traders from Turkestan,
