ENGLISH AND FOREIGN MARKETS.
London, July 25. Tallow is unchanged. The English wheat market is steady, the Continental changing a little for the worse, the American dull. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency debentures are at a premium of £3. July 26. At a stormy meeting of shareholders in the Imperial and Colonial Finance Agency, resolutions were passed in favor of winding the company up, but a scrutiny was demanded. It was admitted that investments had declined to the extent of £50,000. The balance-sheet of the Union Dank of Australia shows profils amounting to £IOO 000, of wdiieh £II,OOO are to be carried forward. The assets exceed £20,000,000. The deposits have increased during the year by £700,000. The bank has not suffered by the recent failures in Australia,
