CHICAGO EXHIBITION.
New York, June 23. The executive of the Chicago Exhibition intimate that they are willing to allow Australasia 80,000 feet of space, provided the colonies combine to erect their own building. The offer has been declined, as it would entail an expenditure of £70,000. The executive decline to permit colonial exhibits in the block, but offer a space of 50,000 feet for products to be classified separately. The Premier of New South Wales has communicated with his Government, advising them to retire altogether from the exhibition since it is impossible to accept the conditions of the executive. Mr Dibbs asserts that the importance of the colonies is being overlooked, and they are put in the category of private exhibitors.
