Sydney, June 7. New Zealand potatoes, £2 10s to £2 15s.
ENGLISH AND FOREIGN MARKETS. London, June 2. Throe months' bills are discounted at J. New Zealand 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 105; 3i do, 95L Long-berried” wheat, 30s od—-market quiet. South Australian wheat is quoted at 37s Od—market flat; Victorian, 37s 3d. For Australian wheat on passage sellers are offering at 30s Od, but buyers will not give more than 35s Od. Oats—Fine, 27s 3d; common sorts, 24s 9d.
Canterbury mutton, 4jd; Wellington, 3Jd —market glutted.
There is little or no demand for hemp. Beans, 30s Od. Sugar—Best German beet, 13s ; Java cane, 15s Od. No. 1 best Scotch iron, f.o.b. in the Clyde, 41s.

The English wheat market is inactive ; the Continental unchanged, and the American firm. New Zealand rabbit skins average Is 3d. Paris, June 5.
Blondel, Gerner and Co., Parisian bankers, have failed for a quarter of a million sterling; assets nil. Berlin, June 5. The duties on imported corn have been increased to a florin, and on flour to 3d and 4d. St. Petersrurg, June 6. The Russian Government have withdrawn the remaining prohibition on the export ot cereals from Russia.
The Bureau of Industries. —Mr Mackay, of the Bureau of Industries, returned to Wellington from Gisborne on Monday. He found all the men sent by the Bureau at work, and well satisfied with their prospects. During his stay at Gisborne a number of men voluntarily published statements to the effect that they were fully acquainted with the reasons why they had been sent to Gisborne by the Bureau, and had no complaints to make. They had been told by the Bureau that they would require to keep themselves from the time of arrival until they went to work, Five men who landed with Mr Mackay were found work within ten minutes of landing.
