OUR VOLUNTEERS.
On Thursday afternoon last the Geraldine Rifles tired for Capt. R. H, Pearpoints’ Cup, conditions Government target and scoring. Corporal Fiefioldhad charge of the firing, the results of which are as follows :
On Thursday evening Capt. Pearpoint went to Woodbu y and swore in the following 12 men as members of the Geraldine Rifle Corps :—H. W. Scott, E. W. Taylor, M. McLeod, John Irvmo, J, W. Evans, Hector McLeod, Alfred Scott, Ilobt. Rae, W. Ferguson, C. H, Scott, F. W. Cornish, and William Wood. Arrangements were made whereby the men can receive their recruit drill at Woodbury, (if ter which they will attend the regular parades of the Company at Geraldine. 'The addition of the.o members will bring the total number in the corps up to 56. .
