Accidents.—On Saturday at Kai-iwi, near Wanganui, youth a named William Bullock, eighteen, while engaged at a threshing machine, slipped, and one leg got caught in the drum of the machine, and was terribly crushed. He died the same night; it was three hours before he received medical assistance. —At a polo match at Wanganui the same afternoon, William Chapman fell off his pony on to his head, and remained unconscious for three hours. He is expected to recover. A youth named Garin Alexander, broke his wrist at Momohaki, near Wanganui, on Saturday morning. —At Wellington on Saturday some piles were being removed from under a house with a view to lowering it, when they suddenly gave way.
