Colonial Bank. The half-yearly report of the Directors of the Colonial Bank states that the net profits for the half-year, after providing for everything, amount to £17,077, to which has to be added £7230 3s Bd, balance from last halfyear. From this has to be deducted £2190 13s lOd, tax on note circulation and property tax, leaving available £22,716 9s lOd. The Directors recommend a dividend at the rate of 7 per cent, per annum on the paid up capital, absorbing £II,OOO, and carrying forward the balance Of £B7IO 9s lOd.
