DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside Market on Wed>i nesday the following business was transacted: — Fat Cattle—2lß were yarded, ranging from small and inferior to prime quality. The sales were rather languid, with a slight decline in values—say about 10s a head on beat sorts, with further reduction on lower sorts. The whole, however, found buyers at prices given below:— Beat bullocks sold at £7 to £10; other bullocks, £5 to £6 15s; best cows, £5 to £7 10s. Fat Sheep—l9oo penned. Of these 150 were merinos in wool, the rest mostly shorn crossbreds. Sales throughout were brisk, with a slight rise in values for best quality mutton, lower grades also selling well but without improvement. Crossbred wethers sold at lis 6d to 14s 6d; do ewes, lOs to 14s; woolly crossbreds, 14s to 18s; merino wethers (in wool), 12s to 15s.

Fat Lambs—l3o3 penned, ranging from inferior to extra prime. The supply was beyond trade requirements, and it was difficult to sell anything not quite tip to the mark as regards quality. Best brought 8s to 10s 6d ; extra prime, lis to 12s 6d; others, 5s 6d to 7s 9d. Pigs—29B yarded—from suckers to prime porkers. The trade bought lightweight porkers at fair prices, but others were difficult to sell. Suckers brought 6s to lis; slips and stores, 15s to 19s; pokers, 18s 6d to 235; heavy porkers, 35s to 365.
