ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Oct. 10. Following xipon the anouncement of a fresh Melbourne harbor loan, a general fall has occurred in colonial stocks from hto 1. Oamaru Harbor Board bonds fell 2. Westgarth’s Circular says that colonial securities will not maintain prices or recover their credit unless the colonies intimate they will borrow no more for some years. Tallow —Medium mutton, 27s ; beef, 25s 6d. The English wheat market shows a slight advance, and Continental and American are advancing, h cargo of wheat, per barque Warwickshire, from Lyttelton (June 17), was sold at 41s 3d. Hides—Heavy salted, 3jd; best Australian leather, lid. Danish butter, 132 s per cwt, Oct. 12. The Times considers that the result of the harvest is heartbreaking. Wheat is 6d dearer.
