London. Oct. 8. The total number of bales of wool catalogued at the wool sales was 348,000, of which 324,000 have been sold. Oct. 9. New Zealand 4 per cent, inscribed stock, ; 102£, ex dividend; 3 % per cent, ditto, quiet, 93 £. New Zealand long-berried wheat is firm at 445.' Off coast caigoes are quoted at lis. Canterbury mutton, 4jd per ft>; Wellington, 3^d; beef, forequarteis,.2Sd. For New Zealand hemp there is a demand at full rates. South Australian wheat is steady at 455; Victorian is steady at 445.
