It is announced that the Chicago Irish decline to recognise as the leader of the party any of those who took a prominent part in the late crusade against the deceased. The United Ireland publishes an inflammatory article, in whcih it gives the names of several politicans and others, whom it declares virtually murdered Mr Parnell. During a visit to Ireland Mr John Dillon was hustled by the mob, and there were loud cries of •' Mufdereri"'- ''
