AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, Sept. 30. The quantity of wool catalogued up to date is 309,000 bales, of which 268,400 bales have been sold. Tallow, medium mutton 26s 6d, do beef 26s 6d. New York, Oct. 5. Millions of bushels of wheat in Dakota and Minnesota have been damaged by frost. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Christchurch, received the following LondoU market telegram, dated 2nd October:— Frozen Meat—Mutton market is unchanged. Beef market is dull, the price, having declined one-eighth of a penny per lb. The tallow market has an upward tendency. Fine mutton and gopd beef tallow are worth respectively 27s 6d and 26s 3d per cwt. Hemp The market continues droopiug. The Canterbury Frozen Meat and Dairy Produce Export Company, Limited have received cable advice from London quoting their brand 4Jd per lb for mutton ; market steady. ,
