London, Oct. 1. New Zealand 4 per, cent, inscribed stock, 104*; 3§ per cent, do, 93§. New Zealand long berried wheat is firm at 445.; New Zealand wool is dull, and all bales submitted were withdrawn. Canterbury frozen mutton, 4Jd; WelSfd. 7 The;' New; Zealand, beef market is depressed; fore-quarters, -2£d j hind-quarters, 4d. South Australian wheat, 465; 'Victorian firm at 44s 6d. At the wool sales prices remain firm. The present Series close on the 7th inst. Oct. 3. The Economist paper considers that the increased production of wool may possibly have a permanent effect on the market. New Zealand butter is quoted at from 86s to 110 s per cwt. At the wool sale prices are steady, with an occasional slight advance. German demands hare improved.
