Dr Koch has a French rival in Dr Lannelongue, a well-known surgeon, who has for some time been experimenting on tuberculous patients in the Trousseau Hospital, Paris, and whose lymph (composed of chloride of zinc) is said to act with curative force on the part actually affected, while producing no disorders in other portions, of the body. Dr Lannelogue has laid the matter before the Academy of Sciences, which will submit the new remedy to a searching investigation. So far the doctor has applied his remedy to twenty-three persons affected at the articulations of the joints, and all these are now cured. Two patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, who have only been under treatment for a month, are on the road to recovery. Of twelve cases of supyurating tuberculosis two have resulted in a successful cure, and the others, who were first innoculated on July 4th, are beginning to make satisfactoay progress. Dr Lanftelongue states that with his method there is a total change of tissue, and that the cure seems complete. Persons who were declared cured two months ago are nb^-pursuing their ordinary avocations and no relapse has been reported. True Egokomy. —To purchase Countess Tea for two shillings.
