OUNT SOMERS COAL PIT to be LET BY TENDER at a Fixed Rental, from the sth October next, with about 258 Acres. The Coal Pit is about 8£ miles from the Mount Somers Railway Station. There is a Tramway from the Pit to the Railway Station, which is now leased by Mr E. F. Wright from the Ashburton County Council. There are two Houses on the Land. H the tenant prefers working with a Traction Engine and Trucks, prices of the name can be had on application to me. It is between 3 and 4 miles from the Mount Somers Railway Station. A Traction Engine could take the Lime and Coal along the Roads to the Station. The tenant will Be allowed half the valuation at the end of his lease for approved Kilns erected by him on the Section.
