ACCIDENTS, FATALITIES, ETC.
A man named Siitfaerland waa found i dead at Waikari last Monday' morning, He left the l station on Saturday with an empty dray and three horses, and the dray was found capnaed lying across his'neck; -On Saturday night Mr Boers, | telegraph lineman at Tophouse, was coming to Nelson ! by train. He ran jto get into the last when he ; fell i between it and the 'platform and [received a-compound fracture of the ileft leg, which was Somewhat 'crashed, but he is progressing favorably, and •the doctor is : boiMeht of Saving the leg.' A young man named Fred. Clark had his leg broken and eustained other injuries by the unexpected falling of a tree he was cross-cutting to bring downu This occurred at Wakapuaka. The body of the man Chadwick, who murdered Roderick' Matheeon on January 14th last, has been found in ;Pohui Bush, Napier, close to the scene of the murder.
