AUCTIONEERS’REPORTS. , TIMARTJ. Mr E, R, Guinness, for the New Zealand Loan opd Mercantile Agenoy Company, Limited, reports for the week adding Jims 6th Sheep Entries throughout the district, considering the time of the year, have been fairly good, and business in this class of stock extensive. Forward-conditioned ; cross breds fit for turnips, hoggets and sound merino and crossbred ewes in lamb are most in request. Cattle—The demand ’ for beef is slightly better and prices are inclined tp advance. Stores There is a limited enquiry for very forward steers for turnips, but old cows and young "cattle are almost unsaleable. Geraldine Yards —At the t.bove market in conjunction with Mr A. E. Cox, good entries have come forward and very satisfactory business resulted, Temuka Yards—At this fixture there has been a good yarding of sheep, cattle, and pigs. Our sales in conjunction with Mr A. E. Cox, consisted of some prime lots, which brought satisfactory prices, viz., 2 tooth crossbreds at 15s to 15a Id, others at 13s fid.

Pleasant Point— A.fairly good entry of sheep with a good demand, resulting in a clearance being effected. I sold 236 old crossbred ewes in lamb at from 7s 3d to 7s 9d, 76 fat crossbred ewes at 12s, and 459 merino ewes m lamb at 4s:9d. Cattle—Poor sale, Washdyke Yards—Average numbers of sheep were yarded and the bulk disposed of at full market rates. 1 sold 500 ewes at 4s, and crossbreds a!t .10a 6d. Cattle—Not many penned, with only poor demand. j Sheepskins and Wool—Our sales privately and by auction comprised 7895 skins, 35 bales and 41 bags wool. The attendance of fellmongers being good competition was kebn, 'resulting in every line being cleared at a shade oyer late rates. Best butchers’ crossbreds at 4s 6cj, 4s 9d, to ss, second quality at 8s 6d, 3s 9d, 45,. to 4s 3d, best merinos at 8s 6d to 4s, second quality at 2s 9d to 8s 3d, country skins according to size and condition, factory skins at 4s 4d, 4s fid, 4s 9d, to 4s XOd. Wool—Locks at 2£d to 2|-d, mixed fleeces at 6d to 6|d, crossbred at 6fd tb 7d, trimmings at 2|d to 3£d. Hides—Are in fair demand, and we have disposed ot all hand at the following prices, at bur stores, Timaru:— 351 b to 501 b at l£d, 511 b to 591 b at 2id, 601 b to 651 b at 3id, 601 b and over at

4d, cut and damaged lid, calf skins al Sid per IbV j Fat—We have disposed of all op hand at late quotations.
