POSTAL IRREGULARITIES.

TO THE EDITOR, Sir, — The residents of the north end of the town are greatly inconvenienced by the irregular manner in which the pillar-box at Mr Darroch’s is cleared. The stated hours are 8.10 a.m. and 12.10 p m., but it is found that letters posted previous to these hours generally reach their destination a day later than they would have done had they been posted at the main office, and so what is meant to be a public convenience is now rendered comparatively useless. Residents in Andre wville having important letters to post prefer to walk to the main rather than risk the loss of a day by posting at the pillar-box as long as this irregularity continues. Hoping that this matter will receive the attention of the proper authorities. I am, etc., Letteb-Writer.
