Messrs S'. Lenders and Co. wrijteas, follows under date, London, l2tth March, 1891 “ The reports from France .and Germany do not improve; the quantity said to be sown with spring wheat is: very large, and with the present severe Weather the field work will naturally be delayed and aggravate things; hut the greatest part of the fields that had, been ploughed up in France after, frost, have been re-sown under favorable circumstances, and of course ,a great deal will depend upon the state, of the weather and the appearance of. the young crop hereafter, as of course, under favorable circvinstanpes there is, every likelihood that the French crop, may yet be considerably better vhan anticipated at present ”
