Hawkins, ft. Y, Ferguson, W. S, 1 Helena, F. Wilson Smith, and J. Cunningham. MINUTES. After routine, the minutes of the last annual, and last ordinary meetings, were read and confirm d. I BALANCE SHEET. . A balance-sheet, showing the receipts for the year to have been £3 16r 6d, and expenditure £3 Is 3d, leaving a balance to credit of 15a 3i, was laid upon the table, ELECTION OF OFFICBBS. The following officers wore elected for the ensuing year; President, Rev. &. c Bruce Todd; vice-presidents, Messrs H, W. Moore and Dr R. Fish ; treasurer, Mr R. Y. Fergusson ; secretary, Mr F. Wilson Smith ; committee, Messrs J. Aitke", W. S. Belem, and A. E. Hawkins. NEW MEMBEES. The following persons were proponed by Mr R. Y. Fergusson and seconded by Mr J. Adken to become members of the soci ty W. C. Wood, and Messis A. Wi son Smiil), R. Strong, G.Turnbo 1, J. Mcllroy, and Arthur Gox, Their election will take place at the next meeting. OPENING OF THE SESSION. It was decided io open the session on Monday, May 11th, the president consenting to deliver an address. NOTICES OF MOTION. Mr Hawkins gave notice to move that a committee ba appointed to revise the rules and constitution, and prevent the same at the next meeting of the society. Mr R. Y. Fergusson gave notice to move that rule 16, which provides that at each matting a chairman to preside at the next meeting may bo elected from among tho members, be rare nded. The meeting then terminated. Since bull fighting has become oue of the most fashionable amusements of Paris, jewels of Spanish design hive acquired coneiperable popularity, says the Jeweller’s Weekly.
