TEMUKA V. EXCELSIOR. The match Temuka v. Excelsior, which was played at Oamaru yesterday, resulted in a win for the former by 4 points to one (a goal and a try to a try). The tries were secured by Austin and Gillespie, and the goal was kicked by Goldatone. No further particulars are to hand. The following is the team picked to represent the Waihi Club against Leeston on Monday, March 30th : Brinkman, J. Austin, A, Sballard, Stewarts (2), Morrison, McLeod, H. F. Harte, South, Bell, Austin, Harts (2), Blissett, and Shallard. The Leeston team will arrive by the one o’clock train, and proceed at once to the ground, when play will start immediately, as the Leeston men wish to return home by the express train from Orari.
The following is the team picked to represent the Temuka Juvenile Football Club to play the Waihi Third Fifteen on Monday next at Winchester: — G Morton, J Morton, J Tangney, G Eobinson, M McLeod E Webster, T Spillane (captain) P McCaskill, T Sheen, D Anderson M Quinn, S Bryan, Morris (2), and D Grant; emergencies, W Lee, E "Wilson, T Goldstone, G Bowman, and G Gibson.
