AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS. TIMARU, _ The Canterbury Farmers’ Association, Limited, report as under:— Wheat Owing to the ■ reported firmness in the English market our market shows activity and considerable firmness. There is a good demand for any parcels fit for shipment, Present values are from 3s 5d to 3s 6d for tuscan, 3s 4d to 3a 6d for pearl or velvet, and 3s 3d to 3s 4d for red chaff; seconds are in fair demandat from 2s 4d to 2s 9d.

Oats—Except for prime Tartarians fit for seed there is but a slight speculative inquiry. Canadians, Is 6|d to Is 8d ; tartars. Is 6d to Is 7d; duns, Is 5d to Is 6d; danisb, Is 3£d to Is 5d for good feed, Is 2d to Is 3d for inferior.

Barley—Extremely dull, no prime samples offering. I; 'Grass Seed Ryegrass, machine- , dressed, 4s 9d to ss; farmers’ parcels, 13s 6d to 4s.

| Potatoes—No sales to report, sellers preferring to hold off till next month; {values from 30s to 85s at country {stations.

! OAMARU RAM AND EWE FAIR. o amasu, March 13, The ram and ewe fair held to-day under the auspices of the North Otago ■'A,. audT*. Association was a great .success. All the sheep entered were {sold at good prices, a Lincoln ram bred by the Hon. M. Holmes realising 25 guineas, aud up to 8| guineas. The sheep averaged good prices' all round. About 800 were {disposed of, and this number was insufficient to meet the demand.

ENGLISH MARKETS. London, March 11. The American visible wheat supply is estimated at .41,500,000 bushels. New Zealand long berried wheat averages 41 s 9d ; short berried, 40a sd.
