LABOR QUESTIONS.
London, February 3. The Waterside Unions have refused to work with non-Unionists, and b struggle is imminent. Steamers with an aggregate of 450,000 tons are lying idle in tbe porta of Great Britain. Mr Justice North, in the Chancery division, to-day, decided that Dock Companies have the power to compel shipowners to discharge their own vessels. February 4 Seaman an J dockers at Cardiff have threatened to bock ttv ships if federation crews are preferred to unionists. Mr Justice North refused to grant an injunction restraining the Docks Committee from imposing • new tariff in connection with owners discharging their own vessels. ♦■ It is stated that a lady's thimble of the ordinary size, No. 7, will hold 1,000,000 of the smaller little brass screws used in the manufacture of fine small watches. These screws are so small that to the naked eye they look like specs of bras, and it requires a magnifying glass to show their real ,character.
