Tekapo, from Wellington. February 5. Sailed—Mararoa, for Auckland. The Attorney-General has declined to file a bill against Captain Rossi for disturbing the service at Golburn Cathbdral. Newcastle. February 3. Sailed—Bells, for lim*ru. Adelaide, Feb. 4. A painter named Mowenthall shot his wife three times, and a fourth shot struck a baby she was nursing. The woman died, but the child has recovered. Brisbane, February 3. Five injections of Dt Koch's conpumptive lymph has baen given to a patient suffering from consumption, and no bad results have been felt, Bobart, February 5. At the Tasmanian Racing Club's Summer Meeting the race for the liobart Cup resulted as follows : —Lapstone 1, Hopetoun 2, Compeer 3. Won easily. Time—2min. 47sec.
