LABOR QUESTIONS.
London, Jan. 13. Several minor accidents are reported on the Scotch railways. Some have been caused by strikers locking points. The North British Company are suing 220 strikers for leaving work without notice. The settlement of the railway strike is from present appearances remote, Melbourne, Jan. 13. A bitter struggle between pastoraliats and shearers is imminent, owing to the Queensland shearers having declined to shear under a new agreement with the Fasioralists Union. Both sides are determined not to give in. Auckland, Jan. 13. At a meeting of the Butchers’ Union various letters were received in regard to colonial federation, but the union decided in favour of local federation only of the union, so as to control their own funds instead of their being i spent at a distance*
