Two Mile Walk—Firefc prize £4„ second L2, third Ll: .0 Leslie (icr) 1, I A Bhosett l4oydi) 2, Gh Muhlexßon (130yds) 3. F Mcllwrick (90yds) also started, but after going one mile was disqualified. The race was well contested and won by a few yards. Time—l6sain 30sec.
Half-Mile Walk (for boy8)-Firsfc prize 15s, second 10a, third ss: A Webster, 1; J Mc Auliff e, 2; >D. McKenzie, 3. Wrestling (Csllar and Elbow) First prize L2, second Ll: F Hall, 1; J Sullivan, 2. J Collins, W Angland, and Uru were the other competitors, and a good deal of amusement wain caused in this event. After a hard tussle Rett conquered Sullivan amidst cheers.
Five Mile Bicycle Knee—Trophies value L 4, L2, and LI: 0 Hall (Tourist), scr, 1; E Hassell (Tourist),, 300yds, 2; A Burford (Tourist), 300yds, 3. J Foster (340yds) wa» the other starter. Won easily. Time, 17min 2Ssec.
Sailor's Hornpipe (men) First prize L 3, second L2, third LI: J Eyan, 1; M Eyan, 2j W Davidson, 3, Several others also d&ncsd, Running High Jump —First priza, Ll 10a, second LI, third 15s : E Chute (4ft lOin), 1; W Lindsay (40ft 10in), ' 2.
Two-Mile Handicap First prize L 4, second L2: G King, ecr, 1; J Chase, 90yds, 2. Won easily. Time, 9min.
Sword Dance (boys)—First prize Ll, second 10j, third 5s : A Smith, 1 ; W Smith, 2; E Popham, 3.
Irish Hornpipe—First prize L 3, second! L2, third Ll: M Angland, 1 W. Fitzgerald, 2; W. Angland, 8, .
Consolation, 200 Yards—First prize LI, second LI, third 10s i Leggott, 2 ; Collins, 2; Walter, 3. Won by two yards. 1 ime, 25sec.
CALEDONIAN SPOUTS. At the Oamaru Caledonian Sports on J O'Grady, of Temuka, took first prize, £3 10a, lor Cumberland Wrestling, M O'Grady, taking second, £2 10s, and Orbell third, £1 10s.
At Wellington on Saturday W. H. Arnott won the Caledonian Handicap of four distanced. McKay, of Ashburton, toek the principal prizes for bagpipe music In wrestling (Border ■tyle) Crawford of the Permanent Artillery, defeated Hall, of Timaru. A drenching: rain caused many of the events to be abandoned.
At Dunedin on Saturday J. King (12§yds) won the final heat of the 220 yards of the Dunedin Handicap, and W. King the final of the 440 yards, receiving 14yda start. H. Dunn won the Border style wrestling, and D. C. Boas the catch as catch can, Dunn declining to meet the latter in final bout. C. Swan (20yds) won the half mile, and Steadman this five mile bicycle race from scratch, Eollinsbaw (500yds) 2, Whelan (800yds) 3.
