GIVING PRIZES. The question of giving prizes was discussed. Some of the members were of opinion that the system of giving prizes was not a satisfactory one, and that a general treat to all the children would be far better appreciated. The special prizes given by private individuals were not included in this. Finally it was resolved—“ That instead of distributing prizes the money obtained from the concert be devoted towards providing a public school treat to he held during the Christmas holidays; this resolution not to refer to the regular attendance certificates.”
