New Plymouth, Dec. 6. A German settler on Mountain road, near Inglewpod, shot himself through the head this, morning, Gisbomte, Dec. 6. An elderly man named Johnson remained at Ormend till late, drinking after the election. He left for home on a frisky horse, and was picked up this morning dead from concussion of the brain. Chbistchuech, Dec. 7. A youth named Alfred Jennett, 18 years, old, was drowned in the Avon near 'the New Brighton, boatsheds while bathing this morning. The body has been recovered.
