CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company repoit as follows : —We held our second wool sale of the season on Friday. The recent cable news from London, quoting a decline of to 10 per cent, upon merinos, and 5 per cent, on crossbreds, had naturally a weakening influence upon prices as compared to last; sales. Though light in places, most of the wools show the effects of the dry season experienced, by being heavy with earth and cotted. 1 here was a good muster of buyers, including one or two new arrivals from the Old Country, who contributed towards the success of the sales. Values were fully on a par with London prices, and ruled as follows: —Halfbred, to Hid; crossbred, 6*-d to Bid ; merino, 6d to 8d ; pieces, 3id to 6fd ; locks, Id to 3fd.
