Auckland, Nov. 26. Mr H. Phelps, an evangelist, wellknown in Auckland, has died at Norfolk Island, A man named Charles Lingard, a seaman on the coasting cutter Mana, has been drowned at Whangapara. Nov. 28. Honoria Sullivan, wife of Hugh Sullivan, was found dead in bed this morning. She was addicted to drink. Gisborne, Nov. 26. Wi Tahara, a Maori, committed suicide by hanging. The cause assigned is jealousy, his wife, Merena, being missing. Dknebin, Nov. 20. Henry Allen, who fell down the Athenaeum steps last week, diod in the Hospital last night. A verdict of apoplexy was returned.
