Meyers, Secretary) j for tbe week ending Friday, October 3rd: — , i The market for all cereals is quiet.l Wheat is taken at quotations, but thbenquiry is somewhat limited. Oaie continue difficult to place—local requirements would appear to be filled,! as there is a slight demand for small parcels of feeding oats. Barley—The season may be said to be over; few transactions have taken; place. ; [Beads and peas—A few lines for export jof the former have changed hands, whilst 1 the latter are neglected, an occasional 1 sale for seed purposes being the ex-‘ ception. Potatoes are being sold at almost any figure. The market is evidently over for this season. Dairy i produce shows but little alteration. 1 Oar quotations are as follow Wheat —‘ Tuscan, 3s fid; pearl, 3s 4d ; hunters, 3s 3d. Oats —Milling, Is 7d; short heavy feed,’ Is 5d to I* fid; long and in-t ferior, Is 3d to Is 4d. Barley—Prime malting, 8s 3d; feedp Is fid to Is Od. Beans—2s fid.
