TEMUKA TOWN BOARD.

The first meeting of the newlyelected members of the aboveboard was held last evening. Present Messrs Blyth, Coira, Clinch, Mason and Storey. ELECTION OE CHAIBMAN. The overseer’s report was to the effect that the Contract for street shingle was completed last Saturday. Taking 30 cubic yards as a fair day’s work for a man to spread, the whole should have been completed in 11 days; at a cost of £3 6s; but it took 15 days, and on, account of that the spreader was ,4 days more than he ought to have been. The contractor was charged with his wages for these 4 days. Other minor matters were dealt with.'
