GERALDINE.

Messrs J. Mundell and Co. report sales for the week ended July 26fch f v 1890, as follows. y At the Geraldine live stock market on Wednesday an average entry of stoek came forward for the day’s sale, consisting of 4600 sheep, 61 head of cattle, and 40 pigs. The sale resulted in a clearance ot almost every line at satisfactory prices, as the following quotations will show:— Sheep Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, 2 and 4-tooth, 17s 4d to 15s 9d; crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, 2-tooth, stores, 14s 4d to 14s; crossbred ewes in lamb, 10s to 9s 3d; crossbred hoggets, 10s 4d.to 10s Id. Cattle -year-old steers, forward stores, £4 17s 6d to £4 7s 6d; cows, fat, £4 17s 6d to £3; springing and in profit, £4 to £3 10s; 3-year-old heifers, £3 10a ; 2-year-old steers and heifers, £1 15s; yearlings, £1 ss; calves, 19s 6d.

Pigs—strong stores, 18s to 16s 6d ; small stores, 9s 6d to 6s ; weaners, 4s. Washdyke Yards—On Thursday our entry consisted of 395 sheep and 5 head of cattle, of which we sold 195 crossbred ewes in lamb at 9s 4d,

Land Sales—On Wednesday at our yards, Geraldine, we submitted to auction on account of the mortgagee 500 acres in Beautiful Talley. The property was passed at auction, but we hope to be able to report the sale by private treaty in a few days. Privately we have sold during the week a small farm close to Geraldine, without buildings, at £ll 10s per acre.
