London, July 4. New Zealand hemp, good medium quality, £l9 5s to £l9 10s Canterbury frozen mutton is at 4fd; otherwise frozen meat is unchanged. At the wool sales prices for merinos remain steady, but coarse crossbreds have a downward tendency.

July 5. At the wool sales merinos were dearer, while crossbreds were slightly easier. The market generally is firm and spirited. Merinos average from to 10, and crossbreds from 5 to per cent, below the May rates. New Zealand 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 105 i ; per cents, 95. New Zealand long-berried wheat 36s 3d, market firmer.

New Zealand hemp is steadier, and it is believed that this fibre has touched bottom prices.
