HOW A DOCKER DIED.
A eed taje of a docker’s death was told at an inquest at the London Hospital on April 12. Mark Henry Va#l, aged 53, lately residing at 281, Highstrect, Shadwell, wap only a casual hand. He bad a feteily of four children, the eldest, 13 and the youngest four, and his wife away at Banstead Lunatic Asylum. Hq managed to obtain one day’s work last week, and on Tuesday got employment again for the day. He had no work on Wedneftday, but on Thursday he obtained employment at the London Hock, He complained during the day to a fellow laborer of pains in his chest, and about six o’clock, when going to receive his day’s ho suddenly fell down. The p«v\9o of death was dge $o want of food, there being no trace of lood in the stomach or intestines. The eldest son said that they had porno food on Tuesday after his father came from work. The jury said that it appeared ap though the man had starved himself to feed his children. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
