THE COUNTY COUNCIL.
The Hutt County Council has the bailiffs in, as it is unable to pay the costs incurred in testing tha legality of their action in erecting the toll gates. The Geraldine County Council might well profit by, this. Not long ago it went to law, and lost, and now we believe it is its intention to try it again. The cost of the law, especially if the case is lost, would go a good way towards doing the work it refuses to do.
