SHIPWRECK.
London. May 20. Further particulars of the wreck of the steamer Dacca have reached here, ihe vessel struck on a reef in the Red Sea about six o’clock in the morning. The bow was stove in, but the air-tight compartments kept her afloat for nearly four hours after she struck. There were a large number of emigrants on board, and before they were rescued many of them were standing up to the waist in water. The Dacca drifted a mile away from the scene of .the accident, and the officers and crew who were on board were rescued by the steamer Rosario just before she foundered. The emigrants have lost all their effects. . Suez, May 20. Hie weather was fine and clear when the Dacci struck. Admirable order was maintained. There were a dozen saloon passengers, and 107 emigrants, mostly girls, on board, The officers and crew were only taken off the steamer just in time. One life was lost.
