TEMUKA TOWS BOARD.
A special meeting of the Temuka Town Board was held on Friday evening. Present—Messrs Blyth, Cmra, and Mason, Mr Blyth was voted to the chair. The chairman said that as members present knew, the purport or the meeting was to consider a letter from Mr S\ Franks proposing to lease part of reserve 820 for the manufacture of bone manure, and to decide as to the desirability of complying with his request. He would read the letter and ask gentlemen present to move in the matter. The letter was accordingly read and duly discussed. It was proposed by Mr Mason, seconded by Mr Coira, and carried—lhat tenders be called for leasing that part of Town Board Reserve 82Q
Wing a frontage of one chain on the Waitohi Eoad, commencing at eastern boundary fence of said reserve, which ■eparates it from rural section 3152, and running baok in a northerly direction, parallel to said boundary fence, for a distance of 4 chains, more or less, to the fence now dividing part of reserve 820, occupied by the board, and remainder of reserve leased by Mr J. Davis, and containing 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, for a term of 7 years, commencing on Ist May. 1890." ' " t The clerk having received instruction* to advertise for tenders, in compliance with the Acts, and to prepare specification containing terms and conditions of lease, to be open for inspection on board table, the meeting terminated.
