The Midland colliery owners haying conceded '4O (?) per cent increase to the miners, the leaders of the strike discourage any further agitation being carried on till Ohris'mes, April 12. Three hundred thousand members of Trade Unions, Radical Clubs, and Friendly Societies, will bold a demonsrrotion in Hyde Park, on May 4ih, in honor of eight hours’ labor. The London Trade and Labor Council have resolved to ignore the Chamber of Commerce, and leave trade unions and employers to settle their own disputes. They have also agreed to allow delegates from female unions to become members of tbe Council. Vienna, April 11. A strike has occurred in many trades, the operatives demanding eight hours’ labor and an increase of 50 per cent in wages, Six hundred Vienna unions will hold a demonstration on May Ist, advocating eight hours.
