The Labor Conference agreed to prohibit children under fourteen yeers of »ge working in mines, performing night work, or exceeding six hours per day, nnd to forbid women working in mines. Children are to b' protected from engaging in unhealthy or dangerous trades. It w«s also decided to abolish Sunday labor except in special cases. New xork, March 20. The American Federation Labor Council have directed carpenters to demand that right hours- sba'l constitute a day's work.
